- Persistent. These are a type of cookie where the data is still stored on the user’s computer, and can be accessed and processed, once the user leaves the website and when they reconnect to it. These cookies can be removed at any moment by the user.
Depending on the organisation that manages them:
- First-party coookies: These are sent to the user’s computer terminal from a computer or domain managed by the owner of the website and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
- Third-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s computer terminal from a computer or domain not managed by the owner of the website from which the service requested by the user is provided, but instead by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies. Similarly, cookies installed from a computer or domain managed by the owner of the website but where the information collected through them is managed by a third party will also be considered third-party cookies.
Depending on their purpose:
- Technical cookies. These cookies enable the user to browse the website, platform or application and use the different options or services it provides, such as controlling data traffic and communication, session identification, accessing restricted sections, saving items that make up an order, completing the order process, processing registration requests or event participation, using security elements while browsing, storing content in order to broadcast videos or audio, or sharing content on social media.

The information collected through this type of cookie is used to measure the activity on the website, platform or application and to create browsing profiles of the users of that website, platform or application, for the purpose of making improvements based on analysis of the usage data of the users.
- Advertising cookies. These cookies allow the advertising spaces available on the website to be managed as effectively as possible. They adapt the content of adverts to the service requested or how the website is used.
- Behavioural advertising cookies. These cookies allow the most efficient management possible of advertising spaces on the website. These cookies store users’ behavioural data, which is obtained by continually observing their browsing habits, thereby making it possible to create a specific profile so adverts can be displayed accordingly.
